Risk free booking for your 2020 holiday.

It’s a difficult time in the Holiday Accommodation business for us and our customers, we have no idea what the future holds and let’s face it no one has a crystal ball, the experts don’t know when we are going to be back to normal following this pandemic! We still have plenty of bookings for later in the year, but new bookings have stopped due to the uncertainty.  The situation will get better.  Many people will be looking to have staycation rather than to risk going abroad, so once we get the all clear we think bookings will increase dramatically.

What can we do to help you with your holiday plans for the rest of 2020, we hope the following will help:

  • To give you confidence that you can book with us without any risk, we are offering deposit free bookings for all Self Catering breaks, just simply book online and the system will ask you for your credit/debit card details but WILL NOT take a deposit automatically, or you can give us a call and we can book you in over the phone. The deposit is normally £25.
  • You can reschedule or cancel your trip any time without penalty, up to 1 month before your start date, after 1 month, you can still reschedule if the Covid-19 situation requires it.
  • The cost of your holiday will not need to be paid for until 1 month before your start date,  we will not ask for payment of the balance if the lockdown/ restrictions are still place, normally balances are due 1 month before your start date.
  • We will also deduct £25 from the total price as a thank you for booking during these uncertain times. Please enter the code COVID19 at check out.  This offer applies to bookings received before 30/09/2020.

Ben Nith is a holiday apartment situated at The Old School B&B in a beautiful rural location which is edged by mature Scots Pine and birch trees.

Ben Nith holiday accommodation has it’s own dedicated parking area which has a seating area for you to relax in.

The rest of the gardens can also be explored, whether it’s sitting at the garden table taking in the commanding views of the sunset or taking a stroll through the new “ Buttercup woods “  Dogs can be exercised in the adjacent “dog friendly “ section of the grounds.

This holiday accommodation is beautifully furnished with quality fittings in a contemporary style.  The kitchen is equipped with electric hob, combi microwave oven/grill, full size oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

There are two bedrooms, each with an extra long (6′ 6″) Zip and link bed which can provide either a Super King bed or two single beds.  The master bedroom has boasts luxurious en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool bath and walk in rainfall shower.  A large stylish shower room is provided for the second bedroom. There is an extraction system in the holiday accommodation to both bathrooms which work with the lights and a humidistat.

The utility room in the holiday accommodation is equipped with a washing machine, sink and storage cupboards.

The modern open plan living area has a dining table and chairs which seats four, a relaxing sitting area with a 55″ TV screen, Blu-Ray DVD player and I-pod docking station.

Location/things to do in the area.

The countryside is right on your doorstep, and you are a short car journey from some of Ayrshire’s most beautiful attractions.  Dumfries House, Culzean Castle and Drumlanrig Castle and the Lead Mines Museum to name but a few. Ayr offers many exciting things to do with it’s beautiful beaches, racecourse and Burns cottage and Museum.

Scotland’s only heated, outdoor, freshwater swimming pool is situated in New Cumnock only 3 miles away.

The Scottish Industrial railway Centre is a 20 minutes drive holding regular steam days where you can ride on a real steam train!

There are many golf courses in the area, from New Cumnock’s own 9 hole to Turnberry’s world famous course which is still less than an hours drive.
